The Phoenix I is the first of three custom knives that Mike did in response to folks asking Bark River Knives to make something in good ol’ 1095. This first model is compact and a great size for field tasks and for EDC. While it’s construction in 1095 sets it apart from Bark River’s current models the handle are also a bit unique. The contoured shape is what Bark River calls ‘ergo tapered” much like the Springbok. It has a palm swell but it is more subtle. Each one is marked “Special Edition” on the right face of the blade in script. The sheath is also new – Bark River totally re-designed the clovis sheath from the bumble bee to be slightly longer and includes their magnetic retention system.
